That man was called Adam Wilson, and there was no finer Skald among those loyal to humanity. Many would call him the Reckless, and with good reason, for his heart would always exceed his better judgement, and Loki did nothing to dissuade him of this…
When the star-spawn came, he would be their foe. And he and the Trickster would spread deceit among the Naki, and seek to subvert them with their lies…
He carried a great hammer, as did once Thor of Asgard in the times of old. And in the great wars with the Naki, he would bring that hammer to the skull of many a lizard-man, and would be their bane.
And he would use his music against the music of the Skald of the Stars, Chess. Both would compete for the hearts and minds of humans with their verse, and for the many who would be swayed by one, many would be swayed by the other…
He was the father of Baldr, though none at the time knew. The Shepherd of the Unsung was the happiest mother, and the Reckless the proudest father. Loki the Trickster would smile at the baby and welcome it into life, for it was once so that he had tricked that same soul into death…
And Wilson the Reckless would take his mighty hammer to the place of Malcolm Allison, the Spurned Saviour, who resided in a great fortress filled with the instruments of the Skalds of old. There did they join battle, for the Spurned Saviour also was armed with a great Silver Hammer, that of the old hero Maxwell. And it was a fight of legend, and Wilson sent Allison flying into a fire, from which he emerged scarred and burned and still with his hammer. And the two great heroes would fight with those huge hammers, until the great incendiary was damaged by their warring. And so it was that Wilson and Allison would be each other's bane…
